An Introduction to British Sign Language

Members enjoyed an engaging introduction to British Sign Language led by Sian Cooley. Sian shared insights from her career as a Teacher of the Deaf for over 30 years, along with her enthusiasm for communicating through both speech and sign.
During the session, participants learned the British Fingerspelling alphabet and practised some common phrases used to start a conversation in British Sign Language. The talk offered an inspiring and practical glimpse into the importance of inclusive communication.
