Christmas 2025
We Clebrated Christmas in style throughout December, starting off with a A Festive Evening at The Bell: WI Christmas Meal 2025: Our WI Christmas celebration at The Bell in Shepperton was everything we hoped it would be—festive, friendly, and full of wonderful moments that reminded us why this group means so much to us.
Beautifully organised by Jill Butler, the evening brought together members for a relaxed and joyful night out to mark the season. From the moment we arrived, The Bell's cosy atmosphere set the tone perfectly, with twinkling lights, warm décor, and a welcoming buzz that made everyone feel instantly at home.
The food was a real highlight. Plates arrived brimming with hearty, delicious dishes—traditional favourites alongside tempting seasonal treats. Every course was beautifully prepared, and there was no shortage of compliments (or clean plates!) around the table. It was the kind of meal that invites conversation, laughter, and the occasional "you must try a bite of this".
Of course, the company made the evening truly special. Conversations flowed easily, stories were shared, and the table was filled with the kind of laughter that only happens when friends gather at the end of a busy year. Whether catching up with familiar faces or welcoming newer members into the fold, the sense of community was unmistakable.
A huge thank‑you goes to Jill for organising such a lovely evening, and to everyone who joined us for making it so memorable. It was the perfect way to round off the year—good food, great company, and plenty of festive cheer.

Christmas WI Evening: We had a wonderfully lively and laughter‑filled evening at this month's WI gathering, where creativity, friendly competition, and festive cheer came together perfectly.
We began the night with a Snowman Beetle Drive—a seasonal twist on the classic dice game—which had everyone racing to complete their snowmen piece by piece. The room quickly filled with playful rivalry and plenty of good‑natured groans as the dice refused to cooperate for some!
Our Dice Game Present Swap proved just as entertaining. Members brought along small wrapped gifts of food or drink, and with every roll of the dice came a new opportunity to swap, steal, or cling tightly to a favourite present. The surprises and last‑minute twists kept everyone laughing right to the end.
Throughout the evening, table snacks kept us fuelled, and our Anagram Game added an extra layer of festive brain‑teasing. Working in pairs and teams, members raced to unscramble seasonal words—some with impressive speed, others with creative guesses that were just as amusing.
It was a night full of fun, friendship, and holiday sparkle, and a lovely way to celebrate the season together. We're already looking forward to the next gathering.
