Mingle Bingo in June

The June WI Evening on 22/06/26 brought members together for a lively and memorable night of Bingo Mingle. The event created and lead by Sonia got everyone chatting and laughing.

Each guest received a bingo card filled with fun and surprising statements, then mingled around the room to find members who could say “yes” to each one. Names were added to the cards, stories were shared, and plenty of unexpected connections were made along the way.

July Summer Outing at Sunbury Sports Bowls Club

A relaxed and sociable summer evening unfolded at Sunbury Sports Bowls Club, where we enjoyed a friendly introduction to both the club and the sport of lawn bowls. The welcoming atmosphere on the green created the perfect setting for new players to discover the game and experience the club’s community spirit.

Experienced club members were on hand throughout the event, explaining the basics of lawn bowls, demonstrating key techniques, and guiding complete beginners step by step. Participants quickly gained confidence, learning how to deliver the bowl, understand the jack, and appreciate the tactics that make the sport so engaging.

The evening concluded with plenty of smiles, new connections, and a shared enthusiasm for returning to the club for future sessions. Sunbury Sports Bowls Club proved to be an inviting place for all ages and abilities to try lawn bowls in a supportive and sociable environment.
